Seasons 1 & 2 are on Netflix.

You may have a hard time trying to reconcile this cold-blooded serial killer, Paul Spector, with our beloved Christian Grey.  That just speaks volumes of Jamie Dornan's amazing talent.  

He pulls both characters off flawlessly.

Anne of Green Gables

Gilbert was my Edward before I found Edward!

I read the entire books series and watched the movie.  
I ate that stuff up!

I just realized that Edward Cullen and Gilbert Blythe are from the same time period...hmmmm.  Interesting.
I'll have to ponder that some more.

Anyway, here's a portrait I drew of Gilbert and Anne.

First Watercolor Attempt....Complete!

My first attempt at painting with watercolors is complete!!!

At first it was a little touch and go with the background, but I'm actually kinda happy with how it came out.

Without going into a lot of detail, my daughter is in a daily program that is really far away, and it makes no sense to drive all the way home and come back.  So I'm hanging around the area everyday, looking for a good place to hang out with free wi-fi.  Today, I've spent 3.5 hours at the library and this is what I produced.  What can I say....this makes me happy. :)

Welcome to my Art Beat!

Thanks for stopping by.  I'm hoping this blog will be a place where I can share my art that I'm proud of and not so proud of, as well as share works in progress.  This is going to get interesting because I'm dabbling in water colors right now.
So here we have my first real attempt at water colors - Edward and Bella in the dream sequence at the end of Twilight.  I like how the figures are coming out, but I'm not happy with what is going on in the background.  First time though, so I guess it'll take some practice.
